The 4th Annual World Fair Trade Day (WFTD) is May 9, 2015. The theme is Stand with Small-Scale Farmers: Together We Can Cool the Planet. The 4th Annual campaign will propel the increasing awareness around Climate Change and shed light on how small-scale farmers can reverse global warming through regenerative organic agriculture. The campaign theme highlights brands who are committed to working with small-scale farmers and activate consumers to support these brands. The campaign will also engage communities and individuals to participate in policy transformation around organic farming.

World Fair Trade Day, is a wonderful time to be inspired by the great work that many mission driven companies are doing to support a just economy. While governments and transnational companies favor corporate globalization that benefits only the 1%, creating larger economic gaps between the rich and poor, you can feel confident that when you purchase products from our WFTD partner brands, these ethical businesses put people and the planet before profits. Purchasing their products is a first step towards an ethical and sustainable marketplace.

Join Alaffia, Alter Eco, Canaan Fair Trade, Dr. Bronner’s, Equal Exchange, Farmer Direct Co-operative, Guayaki Yerba Mate, and Runa in celebrating Small-Scale Farmers this World Fair Trade Day with deals on select fair trade products at participating retail outlets.
