Could this 110 year old technology produce a clean energy source and help eradicate fossil fuels?
In Plymouth mechanical engineer Paul Townley works away on a project aiming to make environmentally damaging energies redundant.
In Idaho in the US Jeremiah Ferwerda has the same goal. Together their aim is to recreate a mechanical technology invented by the Serbian genius Nikola Tesla.
Renowned Serbian-American inventor, electrical and mechanical engineer Tesla was responsible for many of the technologies we take for granted today including the alternating current (AC current) system. In 1909 he patented his Cold Steam Engine; such was the importance he placed on this technology he decided to patent it in numerous countries worldwide.
