How social enterprise Lockdown Presents are supporting musicians and charities alike by bringing intimate virtual concerts to your home.

With live music becoming a notable victim of the coronavirus crisis the knock-on affect on communities of musicians worldwide has been severe resulting in very limited opportunities to perform and earn income from live performance.

In such circumstances innovation, determination and talent proved to be key factors in combatting this challenging situation when social enterprise Lockdown Presents offered a route back to performance for numerous professional musicians and singers. By providing a platform whereby their talents can be appreciated by audiences virtually, directly into their homes via Zoom, Lockdown Presents have provided a lifeline to not only artists but also their chosen charities MindAge UK and Refuge.

The range of music and performers on offer is vast incorporating numerous genres of music ranging from Classical, Jazz to Opera. The service is ‘pay what you can’ subject to a minimum of 30GBP per performer for a 15 minute recital. Longer bespoke recitals are priced by the artists on request.

80% of the fee is paid directly to the performer. 100% of any tips after the performance also goes to them.

All profits  are donated to three charities supporting vulnerable people during the coronavirus crisis: Age UK, Mind and Refuge.

Lockdown Presents is a social enterprise run entirely by volunteers. The only costs are for hosting, software and payment processing.

Choose an artist that inspires you.

Have a look at our performers’ profiles. If you like their bio and would love to hear them perform a song from their repertoire LIVE for you and your loved ones, then book them for a virtual gig. Standard gigs are 15 minutes, or you can request a longer set. You can see our performers’ availability and book them directly, no waiting for a call back!

Tune in from your sofa.

You’ll be sent a Zoom link for your performance. Anyone you share it with can enjoy the performance from their own home. If it’s a surprise, pretend you are just enjoying a normal Zoom catch up and bam! Gig time! Turn the volume up and make sure your food delivery slot doesn’t clash…

Support artists and charities.

You’ll get a link to send your artist a tip for an outstanding performance if you wish. You’ll be invited to provide feedback, applause and a rating too. Lockdown Presents will also make a donation to three frontline charities – Age UK, Mind and Refuge – for every gig.
